No customer support

Just reporting this here: I have been waiting for many weeks concerning upgrading my old Cubase license, then I get this (pasted below), clearly they have no support at all, only some fake bot running:

"Dear customer,

Please excuse the significant delay in responding to your request and for not having met your expectations.

Is the request still pending? If so, please submit a new ticket and we will do our best to get back to you as soon as possible.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.

You can find the full details of your ticket right here: https://helpcenter.steinberg.de/hc/requests(...)

Best regards,
Steinberg Support Team"

There were X-mas holidays all over the world…

Interesting, and? Not sure what this might have to do with what I am reporting.

The request was MANY weeks old, submitted LONG before Christmas.
And I had submitted the same request before that (in German) with same response. So absolutely nothing to with Christmas holidays, but rather with Steinberg having no customer support and rather making fun of anyone submitting a request.

So why not asking your question here in the forum?

You could also search the forum and probably get an answer, instead of waiting and complaining.

Because I need support from Steinberg, it is about upgrading my license.

Yes, you wrote that already. But again, there are many cases where these questions could be answered here in the forum.

You never know if you don’t try it.

Oh and by the way, you can call the support directly

This is not such a case.

Yes, indeed… you are the only person who needs to upgrade licenses, and we are not able to help. So why posting in the user forum anyway?

Do not be so toxic. And read what my posting is about.

There is nothing toxic in the post from @st10ss , your initial post is just a rant, but you deny any kind of help.

So what do you expect?

You registered to the user forum just to say that Steinberg has no support?
And saying they have a fake bot running. Isn’t that toxic, too? At least it is not true.

And yes, we know that it takes very long sometimes.

Sadly but true, it takes far too long to get a response and getting an e-mail like this after weeks is not exactly going to lighten up the mood. I get your frustration.
Hopefully, Steinberg understands at some point in the future that they need to seriously up their game in this department.
Now, for the time being. As @st10ss and @JuergenP already suggested, apart from support via telephone - why not ask about your license issue in this forum? What you might not know: there are many users here with a vast knowledge about all sort of Steinberg related issues who are willing to help you. Like Steffen and Juergen. So why not taking them up on the offer? Again, I get your frustration. But help is in reach within the tips of your fingers. Go get it!
