I ve just installed Cubase 15 and there’s no Drum Machine bottom tab
Welcome to the forum!! Did you add a drum track in the project window? You have to do that first to be able to use it I believe.
Which edition of Cubase do you have? Drum Machine is available only in Cubase Artist and Cubase Pro.
Ohhh i see… im a newbie to cubase and… obviously i wasnt aware of either those things. I can add a drum track but i never see the drum machine tab at the bottom. Also if Johnny is correct my cubase is the simplest
its the elements as i didnt even know if i could get to grips with it. So i guess i’ll have to live with it for now. Thank you both for replying and trying to help, this has been helpful. Learning is a wonderful thing lol

We are all newbies. Either current newbies or ex-newbies.
I’ve been trying to get to grips with my present cubase which I upgraded from elements 14 to elements 15. Could i now upgrade to artist or pro 15? And would that make a difference to perhaps being able to better follow the tutorials?
Have a look if you can find sutiable videos for you on the Cubase YouTube channel.
You can of course update from Elements to either Artist or Pro. Whether it will make a difference regarding following tutorials, depends on what you are watching. Most tutorials on Youtube or elsewhere are usually using Pro, but for the basics it should be possible to follow along, except that of course several functions might not be available in Elements (which might be a bit confusing).
If you have the money, the Pro version will offer you pretty much all you every need, and a lot that you’ll never need. Artist should be a good compromise for most scenarios.
But it is totally fine to stay on Elements first and try to get familiar with that. There will always be another sale on steinberg.net (usually late summer is a 40% off sale for updates) which you could use if you feel you have outgrown Elements or need the functions of the bigger editions.
that sounds like great advice… makes complete sense i’ll wait for end of summer to see if i do get more familiar with this crazyness…
there is so much im completely lost lol but getting there slowly slowly
