I have CB 13 connected to Urrt2. All of my VST instruments are working properly. The sound card is set to internal ASIO on input and output. I try to plug in my guitar into all input and output options on the URRT2 and Studio setup option. No input from guitar detected. Peak level on interface shows signal from guitar. HZ is activated. Guitar plays through the interface and out of the monitors but no signal inti CB. Audio input selected for track.
help, thanks.
Bonus help, I have Native instruments Guitar rig, but it does not show up in Kontact 8 or VST effects, only as a stand alone. how do I get it to add to a track?
Hi,
The Hi-Z button seems to be linked to the Channel 1. How is the Audio Connections> Input set, please?
Thank you. Problem solved.
Now, how do I get NI stand alone Guitar Rig 5 to connect to CB? It does not seem to List in the Kontact 8 instrument VST list.
Hi,
Use Guitar Rig 5 as a plug-in in Cubase. It’s not an instrument, it’s an effect. You can find it on the Audio tracks as an Insert.
Thank you. Looking at the audio track and inserts, It appears that only CB effects are listed with only a few NI effects, none of which are Guitar rig. I do have Guitar rig on my desktop as a stand alone.
Thanks
I have shut down CB to see if it will work again. It will not. If you see from the download, I go from Studio Setup to control panel and the page above shows. Looking at the Audio Channel, it says 2 and 4 respectively. I need channel 1 for the high Z for my guitar. I have searched everywhere to select a channel but cannot find a way to change it. Thank you.
Hi,
Open Studio > Audio Connections > Inputs, please.
Hi,
This is Input 4. Is your guitar plugged to Input 4, or Input 1, please?
Why are you using the Steinberg built in ASIO driver…does UR-RT2 not work with the Yamaha Steinberg USB driver?
I am plugged into input 1 to utilize High Z. The input says 4, but also 1. Im very confused.
Using built in because that is the only one it will allow. I tried downloading different drivers but said my computer was not compatible. Brand new windows
I tried downloading from the link you shared but get an error message about incompatibility and needs x64? I also tried to switch to the NON arm version in CB and got the message above.
What exactly is the incompatibility message and which version exactly did you download??
Hi,
I would recommend you to update to the latest Cubase 13.0.50. If it still crashes, attach the mentioned *.dmp file, please.
What do you mean by this?
Isn’t the ARM version of Cubase a completely different install?..and obviously if you have ARM processor only the ARM version would work.
Hi,
There is no Cubase 13 for Windows ARM. Or am I missing something?
Ok, when I tried to update to the 13.05 driver i got the red x message saying it is reserved for systems withx64. which is odd because I have x64 ( I think) at least the 13.04 says x64. anyway. I got the error above when I tried to switch over to the Steinberg Asio NON arm version. Now I’m trying to switch back to ARM version and it crashes CB. Tried reopening several times. No go after switching back to ARM. Crash four times. I think I’m gunna have to go back and reinstall 13.04. I don’t know why I cant update to 13.05. I installed TOOLS first list it says.
Thank you everyone for the help. I have to go to band practice this afternoon. I will reconvene this evening.
Hi,
Thank you. I know there was a demo, but I didn’t know about the official release. Thank you.
Hi,
If you have an ARM Windows, you probably also need an ARM Audio Interface driver. Or am I wrong?
(Sorry, I’m not a Windows user.)
