No Media Bay preview when in Dolby Atmos

If I’m in a stereo production, I can hover over and preview sounds in the media bay no problem. When I switch over to an Atmos production, no media bay preview. I’ve checked Google and the forums, and everyone says “your control room is enabled. Turn it off”. My control room is not, nor has it ever been enabled. I’m working with a 7.1.4 setup. All other sounds in the mix play fine through all 12 channels of the Dolby Renderer.

I can’t seem to find any routing for the Media bay. If anyone has any answers or suggestions, please provide!

Hello, Im having the same issue, but Im using the control room and wish to continue using it. Have you been able to solve it somehow? Im trying some monitor assignments. I use the preview tool a lot too and cannot use it now.

I solved the non-control room issue, with the help of the folks at Steinberg. I added a new stereo output and right-clicked to make it the main mix. The 7.1.4 output is still actually the main mix, and the stereo out is only the main stereo mix. Shouldn’t have to do this, but I did, and that’s how I get to use the previewer again. Try it with control room. Might work :thinking:
