No meters when monitoring a return/print track

Hey all - I’ve been using multiple daw’s when mastering because I was more familiar with them and mostly using Wavelab to assemble and package things up. However, I’m looking to start using Wavelab 13 exclusively. I’ve got my main template file mostly setup how I think it should work but I’m struggling with the monitoring side of things right now.

Currently, I’ve got a reference tracks layer up top (blue), a send/original mixes reference track in the middle (pink), and a return or print track (red) on the bottom. My send track is sending signal out to my outboard, which works fine and my return/masters print track is monitoring my Burl converter back in.

I am having two issues right now with this setup. First, when monitoring the send-mixes track I hear double signal. Second, when I monitor just the masters/prints track at the bottom my meters aren’t giving me anything back.

Is there a way to get the meters to read when I’m monitoring or listening to the Burl signal back in?

Attached is a screenshot of it playing back while monitoring on the print track at the bottom.

Thanks
J

And screenshots of my routing on each track.

Since you are sending the audio on two output buses, I guess something happens in your mixing gear, or whatever, outside WaveLab.

If you uncheck the option in the following picture, then the audio will go through the WaveLab meters (this slightly increases latency).

Thank you! This did the trick for both issues. The direct monitoring was the double signal as well.
