No MIDI channel 2+ 0utput on MIDI track

I’ve run into a puzzling problem in Cubase 13 that I can’t seem to figure out. Perhaps someone can help?
I use a Komplete Control S88 for controlling MIDI channels. In Cubase 12, all I need to do to trigger a VSTi on the required channel is to change the channel in the Inspector to what I want e.g. Channel 2, and MIDI is then sent out on Channel 2. That works as it always has.

However, in Cubase 13, I can only send MIDI out on Channel 1. As soon as I switch to channel 2 there is no activity at all. And yes I have also tried changing things like “Chan. 1” in the track to “Chan. 2”

The keyboard is obviously working fine and Kontakt can be set to whatever channel I require so this is definitely Cubase 13 related. I’ve been using Cubase since the very first version and I’m puzzled at what I might be doing wrong or nor setting correctly in Cubase 13. The MIDI parameters in Cubase 13 “Settings” match the ones in Cubase 12.

Hi,

On this screenshot, you set the Input MIDI Channel to 2, but the Output MIDI Channel is set to 1.

Ah-ha…now I see what I wasn’t seeing. Thank you, Martin! Obviously the MIDI routing area has changed since version 12. Previously, all I had to do was simply set an output channel (as seen in the first image), but now one has to choose BOTH an input and output channel. I was confused and was assuming the input channel was actually the output, but it’s not. Many thanks for solving that. Cheers.
