No MIDI in from USB Keyboard

Hi guys, I’ve been a Cubase user for 20 years now but this likely simple issue has really stumped me.

I’m running Cubase 8 Pro on a PC running a Windows 8 & it’s been stable for a good 2 years… until now when I’ve Just moved studios & plugged everything in again for the first time in a while…

I’m now not getting a midi signal
From my M-Audio Keystation 49 USB controller keyboard…into Cubase.
When I press the keyboard keys the MIDI input doesn’t show on the transport bar & no notes can be recorded in.

I’ve tried different USB ports on my PC & the PC see’s the device no problem…
But it’s not being seen in Cubase, when It used to just plug & play.

Any advice would be appreciated

Many thanks

If you open device setup/midi port setup is the device listed? Maybe it just needs adding into “all midi inputs”?

If it’s not there you could try something like midiox to see if the keyboard is sending midi.

I bought a new MIDI keyboard & it worked first time.
