This has probably been mentioned before but when I open a new project, and I am new to Dorico, I do not get any instrument names when the staves are added? Also seems to be very small staves? When you watch the video this seems to be done automatically? I have included a screen shot so you can see what I am talking about.
Have got this sorted as found it in an earlier posting.
For the sake of anyone looking for an answer and reading this topic — unless you prefer to delete it —
the solution might be in Layout options (cmd-shift-L), Staves and Systems page, make sure that Staff labels are not on “None”…
