Why is it every time I open Cuebase 13 I have to load the audio device in the Sudio drop down menu?
With so little information, it is impossible to answer your question.
At least mention some basic specs about your system, audio interface, etc. ?
The more details you can provide, the better your chance to solve the problem.
Thank you for responding. The computer specs are:
Intel(R) Core™ i9-13900K 3.00 GHz
32.0 GB ram
cuebase 13 pro
antelope discrete 8 audio interface
windows 11
usually using Kontakt samples, BBSO, other similar stuff. I’m new using Cuebase. I’ve used Cakewalk since late 80’s. I used to be fairly computer Savey using Autocad and associated programs. I’m new using samples. Old school comment, I did have an Amiga computer and did sampling, 12 bit companded, whatever that meant back in the 80’s.
I don’t know why it happens on your computer.
I can only say that, as along as my audio device is at the ready before launching Cubase, I won’t have to chose an audio device.
So, is your audio device ready to be used before you start Cubase?
Maybe you’re suffering from silent crashes on close. Open Cubase then go to settings and set up your audio system. Set up your connections in audio connections window (F4) and then restart Cubase and verify if your settings are there.
yes, it is always on.
when you mention settings, am I correct in going to preferences?
No, audio system settings are in studio setup
Yes, the top line there is where I have to reconnect everytime.
