No play, no stop

Hi,
I’m experiencing several issues with the latest version of VST LIVE 2.

Firstly, sometimes the backing tracks won’t start playing even though the play button is green. The playhead doesn’t move, and there’s no sound at all. However, as soon as I reset the audio devices, the sound comes back.

Secondly, even though I’ve adjusted the preferences to stop the song at its end—and even when I place the orange marker at the end of the tracks—the playhead continues playing past that point.

I’m disappointed to see that, after my third attempt using VST LIVE, it still feels like I’m testing a beta version of software that doesn’t meet the standards I’ve come to expect from Steinberg.

Are there any known solutions or workarounds for these issues?

Hi! I’m sorry to say, it might rather be user error. In preferences there was a setting for “default” song action, but:

Thank you for your reply. It’s true that the song ending now works. I hope that the new version I just installed it doesn’t cause any audio-related issues, as it’s crucial for a live performance. I really appreciate your feedback.
