I just downloaded the trial Cubase elements 10.5 and audio works for loops but not for vst instruments. I have confirmed the recording is enabled on the vst track and that the “built in audio” is the selected audio driver and that the built in audio outputs are visible and Active. So I have no idea why I get sound? With my midi keyboard connected I can see that the notes are recognized as they show the notes I press in the halio se window’s keyboard. Even the onscreen keyboard produces no sound? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What VST Instrument do you use? Have you laded a sound in it? Can you see the meters on the Instrument track?
