No sound from Control room

For some reason started up Cubase pro 15 on windows last night and now no sound. it works if i turn the control room off?

You can turn Control Room back on and check in Audio Connections to see if you still have an audio device configured for your Monitor. If you do (and there’s still no sound), make sure you have the Main enabled in Control Room:

You don’t need (and probably shouldn’t have) a Stereo Out Output configured in Audio Connections if you’re using Control Room.

I have the main enabled, and outup configured but no assigned. in the output.

I can see the levels on the meter in the control room panel.

just no sound at all

I i turn the control room off it works fine

Hi,
just to be on the safe side:
If Control Room is activated make sure that your main speakers are exclusively activated in Control Room (F4 Audio Connections). In other words, have a look at F4 / Outputs, too, and see that they are not activated.
There is an option in your preferences to circumvent this exclusivity but let’s see if the issue has something to do with it, first.

In case this doesn’t help:
Can you upload a screenshot of your audio connections (F4) / Output and Control Room? As well as a screenshot of your Control Room. Are there any plugins? Maybe a demo version which mutes the sound?

Hi,

Ensure, there is any Monitor Bus in your Control Room and it’s routed to a meaningful Audio Port (hardware output). To clarify, you can attach a screenshot.
