No sound from iMac internal speakers

iMac running 10.13 High Sierra. Cubase 8 + Roland Quad Capture DAW ( Mac 10.13 driver installed)

Upon firing up the Quad Capture with the new driver everything fine except I cannot get Cubase 8 to playback through iMac internal speakers. In Quad set up box and on iMac settings, I selected ‘Built-in audio’ for both but still no sound from the inbuilt speakers.

Nothing is muted as far as I can see and iTunes uses iMac speakers as before with no problems, so the speakers are working fine.

Any ideas , anyone ?

Hi,

You have to set the Built-in Out in Cubase: Studio > Studio Setup > VST Audio System > ASIO Driver.
