I did a clean install of my system.
Running latest Windows 11 24H2 and latest Cubase 14.
Today I wanted to play with The Grand for the first time on since doing a clean install.
The Grand 3 is downloaded from the SDA with content and program. Everything seems normal. The keys react on the plugin but I get no sound. This is the only instrument I have problem with. Even replacing the instrument with Halion 7 piano Eagle plays perfect.
Anyone have any idea what is wrong?

Hi @glennloopez !
Are you running The Grand 3 as VST3 Instrument inside a DAW or standalone?
Ok, thanks! Since you get sound from HALion, we can rule out all the audio interface issues.
This leaves us either with a content access problem, a rogue midi controller lowering the volume somehow, or a routing issue in the project.
Let’s start with content.
Can you choose between different pianos?

As you can see on video - volume is full, response on plugin when pressing keyboard. Library manager looks ok
I kinda think it is not loading the samples. I can pick all the different pianos, but I think it should be some loading time even on a 7000 MB/s m2 disc?

Yes, it should have least a little blip of load time. At least the bigger pianos, such as the C7, Bösendorfer, or Model D.
Everything else looks correct on your system, from what we have gathered here.
I can not view the video though, do you have another link? Maybe I spot something in there.
discokool.com/mp3/20250107_154003.mp4
will this link work?
I also tried to remove and reinstall the library but got the same result.

That link worked, thanks. Video is a bit shaky, I could not see the performance indicator.
When you play many notes, with long release, is the voice count going up? Or the disk usage?
I mean this widget:
If not, please open the Library Manager and click on “Details” for one of the pianos. I would like to know it’s exact storage location.
Ahh, the CPU and voices are so small I didn’t even see them. There is 0 activity there, and it says 30 MB before and after I load a preset.

Thanks for taking the screenshots and doing the tests.
And again, everything looks correct. To be honest, I am running out of ideas.
Since the files are where they should be, it might still be a permission issue.
Are you using an admin account?
Edit: A little more explanation. 0 voices means no samples are played back. This seems to confirm your suspicion that it fails to load the samples.
hard to say what was wrong. I ended up uninstalling everything, plugin + content. deep dived on my drive to sniff out any traces of The Grand. They were spread around there, deleted all the traces I could find.
did the reinstall, now it is working again. Really strange stuff, but it is what it is. Atleast I managed to get it going again in the end.

Thanks for letting me know. Really weird. Sometimes files get locked by other programs, but usually that is resolved with a restart. Maybe something with the permissions was off and reinstalling fixed that.
In any case, glad you have it running and make some music. Hope you enjoy the instruement
