No sound in speaker monitors.

Just connected my Roland XP80 workstation to Cubase 7.5 via MIDI Device Manager. When activating the play button to hear recorded midi song I hear nothing. When viewing the mixer window and activating the play button I see vertical bars showing MIDI activity but still hear no sounds. Any suggestions. Please help!

P.S. new to Cubase 7.5.

Give some more info…do you have a midi interface? How is the Rolands audio connected…where are the speakers connected…do you have an audio interface or are you using built in sound?

Have you got Cubase to make any sounds internally or is this your very first attempt to use it?
