I have my VSL sound (Synchron Piano) loaded. In play mode everything works fine but in write mode I don´t hear a thing when inputting notes via midi or just when pressing any key on my midi keyboard (and even the virtual keyboard in the lower zone does not produce any sounds). Clicking on any of the notes does produce sounds though…And yes, I have the box for “sound on input” checked in the dorico preferences…please help it turns me crazy!
I want to build a very simple one for sketching stuff. I work mainly with orchestral scores and all those digital sounds (Halion or others like Noteperformer) just don´t get anywhere close to what I want to hear. So I just want to have my VSL Steinway Model D als default sound for ANY instrument I am using. Been doing it manually until now because I didn´t get the concept of playback templates (even though I watched tons of videos on it…). VSL also not helping, their stuff sounds good but is super clunky and not very user friendly…
Thanks and warm regards,
If so simple, why don’t you just build up an initial project to your liking and then save it as a template? There is a menu entry File > Save As Project Template
