No sound while exporting multiple tracks in realtime

Hi, does anyone know how to solve this situation please? I have done it dozens of times without issues but recently and after a couple of crashes while opening older Cubase 12 projects, I have no sound while exporting multiple tracks, say a whole session. It does export it well except while I select export in REAL TIME there is no monitoring sound, just like when it is done in no real time.
I cannot find any reference about this in this forum.

Cubase Pro 13.0.20 in Rosetta 2 and Native
Macbook Pro M1 / VENTURA 13.6.3

Hi,

Do you hear a preview from the MediaBay at the system? The Export Audio Mixdown is using the same routing.

Hello Martin, Yes I can hear the preview on the Media Bay, still not on the export Real Time option. I never had issues with it before. I am without a clue.

That means, the routing is setup correctly.

Could you try to increase the Buffer Size, please?

Hello Martin, I increased it to 1024 and still no sound. I had to work on a new project and the first I did was to try the export function and I did hear the preview. I concluded it had to be some setting I oversee on the other project. But today after concluding this new project when I needed to export it I had again the same problem, no preview … and this is rather strange, I did not change any export settings and always use the same.

I have the same issue and would know if there is a way to go about it.
If I do a realtime export (because I’m using external processing on my busses) as a single stereo mix, all fine.. I hear the track monitored while being exported.

But if I want to do a multitrack export in real time, to stem out a whole track at once and do more outboard processing on busses and have them split, it doesn’t work here..

So far I have not been able to solve this problem and gave up trying.

There are these options called “effects” at the bottom of the export window.
If you select +Group/Sends or +Master… that would include I believe the processing at the export, then the preview goes on during export…. but it does split the exports in several takes.. like if I export 10 separated channels, it will take 10 times real time exports to do it…

I’d be pleased by a pro here to explain the whole concept of how it works (probably I should read the manual I know)… but a one go export with all the groups and sends to come together at once split in stems with the audio preview during the export, that would be what I’m looking for.
