No undo while selection is active - Bug?

Hey @Robin_Lobel I was hoping that perhaps this is a quick fix that you could include in the next update.

What happens is that if I make a selection and apply process on that selection, I can’t undo while that selection is active. I have to click somewhere else before undo works, and it is fine if I make another selection, the problem is if the same selection upon which the process was applied is still active.

Im on SL13, in ARA inside Nuendo 14.0.41, Win 11 (last update 2026-06 Security Update (KB5094126) (26200.8655)), i712700. GTX 3060 12gb.

Can you take a look into this, please? Many thanks!

Just to add that I’m also getting “deselect” events in my history even though I dont have “include selection events” checked in system preferences.

Perhaps this is somehow related to the bug above?

Hi @henrique_staino I can’t repro the issue here (using Cubase 13 on Windows though, but SpectraLayers behavior is unlikely to change with Nuendo 14). Is that issue reproducible in standalone as well ? Would you be able to record a video of it ?

hey @Robin_Lobel thanks!

here’s a quick video. the whole time after applying reconstruct I’m pressing ctrl+z, but it only undos after I click out of the selection.

It’s not happening on standalone.

@henrique_staino Hi! The History panel isn’t visible. Could you please take another video?

oops, cropped it wrong, sorry.

@henrique_staino I tried with the exact same version of Nuendo 14, but couldn’t repro the Ctrl+Z issue. Let me know once SL 13.0.10 is out if you still have it.

I could however reproduce the extra selection (or rather, Deselect) event that is not supposed to be there, I’ll look into it for patch 2.

Ok Robin, will do! Thank you for taking the time!

@henrique_staino thank you so much:+1:
