No window on launching

Hi friends,

When I launch Cubase 6.5 on my iMac, no window is opened after when the Cubase is launched fully and I have the desktop staring at me. I have to select ‘new project’ from the file menu (or command-N) and then the project assistant appears! Whatever selection I make in the Preference window-> General tab-> On startup, no window opens up at startup, ever.

Is this some bug or I am making some mistake? I have been using Nuendo since many years now and am fairly familiar with the settings and preferences.

Have you tried trashing preferences…probably the first thing to do.

Please pardon my ignorance but how to do that, I mean ‘trashing preferences’?

Thanks Grim, did that. No change. Same behaviour.
