Non Fader Automation Track Display on Multiple Tracks

is there a way to display the same type of autiomation info on a bunch of tracks simultaneously. eg, i want to have a low pass filter sweep from 20k to 200Hz over a few seconds on a bunch of tracks.

I need to draw it manually for accuracy so I want to display that parameter on all the relevant tracks and copy paste the points.

I guess i could copy the audio with automation then turn off automation follows audio and delete the audio but I only wat to duplicate that on parameter

Hi,

Isn’t it easier to route all tracks to a Group and make this effect on one Group Channel?

Another option is to draw and select copy and paste it to the other tracks.

I only want to copy and paste one specific and sometimes obscure automation parameter to multiple tracks. There may be dozens of parameters I don’t want altered, so I want to be able to see that specific parameter on multiple tracks. I don’t want to write the parameter in real-time; I need more accuracy.

Displaying this hidden parameter may take a few mouse clicks. Sometimes, I may need to do this on many tracks.

Martin.Jirsak, Creating a new group is not a great option as I may want to duplicate this across multiple tracks already going to multiple groups, e.g., dial, music, fx, walla, foley, bg. I don’t want to do it in real-time.

I know I can show all automation on selected tracks or fader automation on selected tracks, but I think we need to be able to select a bunch of tracks, hold down the alt key or something while opening some obscure automation parameter which should then show that parameter on all the selected tracks.

klfnk2020, that is exactly what I want to do, but I want to be able to see only that parameter on multiple tracks to allow me to manipulate and copy it.

This would be very, very useful, and it just feels like an oversight not to have it available. Has anyone else ever wanted to select some hidden automation parameter and see what it’s doing on multiple tracks?

Showing all automation is not a great option, as sometimes there may be heaps of parameters in use across heaps of tracks, leaving heaps to sort through visually.

I’m not really looking for a workaround, it’s more of a question of if this function is avaialbe. I’m just asking if the ability to choose a single parameter for display across multiple tracks is possible, and if not, could it be made possible?

Sometimes.it may be necessary to have multiple automation tracks open for various seemingly non related automation functions for precise editing and / or copying .

It would be even better if there was a way to copy the automation paramaters display view from one track to many selected tracks for editing.

You are right i have been working in PT the last month and forgot this is missing in N. Tag this as a feature request and it will be more noticeable.
