HI, I’m trying to create the first image in dorico but I only seem to produce the second image, I cant seem to
get the rest’s to appear as the first image. it also 6/4 time.

Click on the first note, open lower zone (properties), and deselect “starts voice”

I initially started with “start voice” off and what I had was dotted half note rest and unable to add quarter note rest.
Cool. Try this then. You’ll need to force the durations that you wish as Dorico is automatically making 3 beats of rest a dotted quarter.
