I was just playing around with the note tool popover (ShiftI) and noticed that Dorico freezes when entering *=*. The second asterisk (or snowflake?) can also be replaced with any other character to get the same behavior. I suppose that’s not a hidden winter feature, is it?

Everything equals everything? What were you trying to do? There might be a way.
I didn’t want to accomplish anything specific but was just curious what happens if you enter an asterisk instead of a note name.
So i guess you invoked some sort of infinite loop, which might look like a freeze …
the developers could tell more, I guess
