I’m trying to create a falloff articulation for brass (which Noteperformer does recognize and play back), but it seems the only way to do this is create a new playing technique which will only display above or below the staff. Ideally, such an articulation should attach to the notehead and follow its position. I guess you could fix this manually in engraver mode, but it would seem laborious: is there a way to set a default in Dorico?
Is there a reason you don’t wan’t to use the fall in the «jazz» ornament section?

Hey thanks for the quick reply! I’m still thinking like Finale I guess, so didn’t connect articulations with “ornaments”. Good solution anyway, thanks.
The falls in the ornament section (just tried those) all play back the same way, regardless of the note duration they’re on, and I don’t particularly like the way they look. Nevertheless, it’s a good enough solution for now, many thanks. I still think there must be a way to use these glyphs to activate NP the way they used to work in Finale, beyond my Dorico chops for now!
