Noting the addition of a Spitfire SO 2024 engine, can this be routed through Vienna Ensemble Pro? I use Kontakt in VEPro in other contexts, so the question is specific to NotePerformer.
No, I’m afraid you won’t be able to use NotePerformer with Vienna Ensemble Pro.
The library must be loaded into NotePerformer, analogously to how you load a library into Vienna Ensemble Pro.

The ‘legato lag’ I was experiencing with BBCSO core has gone, and fast solo lines with Spitfire Solo Strings are clearer and better phrased.
It’s such a clean sound now that I’ve increased my reverb levels to help the sound gel.
Overall, It’s a great update. Thanks again!
There doesn’t seem to a 2024 version of Spitfire Solo Strings. Is there any benefit in using the 2024 SSO engine for them?

There’s no 2024 version of the solo strings, but it’s a separate library that’s supported via the SSO 2017 engine.
The solo strings also being listed on the SSO 2024 version is a mistake. You must always activate the SSO 2017 engine to use them.

I’ve had bbc core only a few days and that was the only obvious negative so this is good news

Spitfire 1.3.3 has been released and has full solo strings. I hope NP will integrate this in the next version. Right now NP does not see the solo strings.
It actually does see the real string quintet from Spitfire. And the first Joby Burgess Percussion (the one for which I created the MIDI mapping and maps for Dorico). But yes, it would be nice if the new instruments in Spitfire Symphonic were present in that Engine.
