yeah, they didn’t make it any easier for us or themselves, true to form …
I wonder if they screwed up some settings and orphaned the cookies in order to move half the forum settings to the mySteinberg settings making it impossible to stay logged in?
That’s exactly what they did. For anyone who wants a quick lesson in php. When you login to a session, you’ll get this at the end of each link you mouse over
~php?(some stuff)&sid=session number
When you use the sid=“session number” in all links, it throws your session from page to page on any link you click on, and that code snippet has to be in all links.
So my current session number is:
All links currently in the forum still have this same session number. (You can see the link by looking at the bottom bar of your browser when mousing over any link.) But! when going back to the forum from MySteinberg, it opens a new tab and breaks the session. So I have to log in again, and now I get this number.
But when that new tab opens, PHP is being told that you have navigated away from the BB, and needs a new session.
The answer to this might be as simple as echoing the SID with the (Access this forum) link on the create account page.
No, the difference between Dutch and German is like the difference between Spanish and Portuguese (yes, there is a difference, Steve… ).
A lot of words look and sound similar, but most words are totaly different.
