I have a project with two video tracks and a video file on each. N13 Crashes when I try to export a section of video with audio. I open the same project in N12 at it exports perfectly.

2 video tracks using both H264 mov & H264 mp4
When exporting video region N12 perfect N13 not so perfect
The problem occurs in N13 when exporting from an active a MOV file. Is fine in N12
mp4 worked OK in both 12 & 13 though.
Update. In the problematic session I had two video tracks with an H264 .mov video file on each track. N13 would crash between the audio export and the video export parts of the export operation.
However, when I delete one of the video files the export works just fine.
N12 is fine exporting with the video files on both tracks though.
Were any of the tracks muted in N13 when you tried it?
yes there are some muted tracks. If I export video in N13 it crashes, same session in N12 is fine.
Happens with H264 mp4 and mov plus DNXHD 36MB mov
Sadly I have to roll back to N12 as exporting small clips to remote clients is part of the job.
Hoping this will be fixed in 13.0.2
Hi, I meant were one of the video tracks muted, not other tracksā¦
Iāll get a chance to try it on my end today.
It happens to me with and without a muted video track.
I do have 2 video tracks in my session. The programs I work on are always being updated so Iām always importing new video files and readjusting my timeline to suit. New cut on the bottom track, old cut on the top.
This crash happens with a video on the lower track only as well as videos on both tracks though.
It also happens when there has been no editing of any video files.
Having said all of that, I created a fresh session, imported video file and was able to export a video file when just one stereo audios clip was on the timeline. When I laid up more audio files and tried the export again I got a crash.
Again, regardless of session complexity, N12 does not crash.
Still havenāt tried it yet since Iām mixing, but this is the same function as before right, not the new replace audio in video?
Correct
Quick update. I was able to do a video export by doing it as a real time export.
Hi @KMT333 and sorry about the late reply.
Are you still able to reproduce this crash with N13.0.20, and if yes would you send me the crash via PM?
Thank you
I have informed the relevant persons of your issue. It was already known to us. Thanks for your report.
Thank you Armand!
Could you share which files / what the problem is? I just exported three .MOV files from within the latest version of Nuendo. Not replace, but the āolder regularā export. Worked fine.
Iām not sure what you mean by āwhich filesā. I am not able to know what the problem is for now. Somebody from the team should look at it and carry on with this discussion on the forum when required.
Cheers,
Armand
Oh sorry, I think I misunderstood. Anyway, it worked for me soā¦
ok, this is getting to be a real problem and is creating so much extra work having to export projects and then conform to video in another program or in N12. How long is it going to be till we can have our reliable video export options functioning again? Here is an idea, take your video export and inject audio function from N12 and make it a separate program add on to Nuendo / Cubase / Wavelab, etc.
I have found if I do real time video exports it works about 80 percent of the time. If I try faster than real time it will crash reliably on larger projects with many tracks/busses/fx etc. It crashes when it changing from the audio export part of the process to the video export part of the process.
thanks , but mine crashes as soon you start the export. realtime or not.
works fine in 12. but I cant use 12 on the project without creating a new comp because Im using features in 13 in the project. If I recall correctly this all went wrong when they added the inject audio into existing movie feature in 13.02. makes me wonder if going back to 13.0 will help.
