Has anyone else experienced Nuendo 14.0.32 freezing indefinately about 2 minutes after loading up a Project File that was created in version 14.0.31 ? I have to Force Quit it every time. It freezes every single time. I’ve waited 2 hours for the freeze to stop, so that I can use Nuendo. However, it doesn’t stop. Evidently a new issue introduced in to this new version.
There doesn’t appear to be a solution so I’m going to attempt to uninstall it and install the previous version (14.0.30)
My system is Mac M2 Ultra with 192GB RAM and 2TB free disk space running on latest OS (Sequoia v15.5).
Update: Reverting back to v14.0.30 does NOT fix the issue. Basically DO NOT install v14.0.32 because it somehow messes up Nuendo’s config files and will not allow even earlier versions of Nuendo to run without freezing.
I don’t experience this at all, even between Cubase files also created before (and after) the v14.0.30 - v14.0.32, and explicitly with .31 files (which I just happened to create a number of). I’m also on MacOS 15.5 on a Studio M3 Ultra, but also on MBP M3 Max.
Which “messed up config files” are you referring to? I keep ongoing backups of all config files through time for both Nuendo and Cubase (as in the entire preferences folder for both apps) and can easily test between file iterations if you have a specific tag you suspect.
Is this one project or multiple projects? Have you tried importing the tracks from the “trouble projects” into a new project?
