Nuendo 14 automation movement error

Nuendo 14 automation movement error.

When I used Nuendo 13, I disabled the Automation Follow Event and used it. The reason is that it was uncomfortable to follow when I changed the clip or it disappeared and moved little by little.

But the length of the video changed, so when I selected the whole thing as Ctrl+A and moved it, Automation was automatically selected, so it moved together.

However, in Nuendo 14, if the Automation tab is closed, Automation is not selected even if Alt+S is used.

So when I moved everything hard, Automation was ruined.

How can I solve this problem?

When the automation track is closed with the Automation Follow Events function turned off, how can I move all the way to automation with Ctrl + A?

I want to copy the project as it is, but Automation will not follow if I choose the whole thing and move it.

If you turn on and move Automation Follow Events, it does not copy completely, and only follows where the Events were.

Automation assigned to the empty space in front and back of Events remains.

If I want to fix this issue, I need to leave the Automation Tap open for all tracks with Automation. I have to work with a lot of Automation tabs open so there are no errors.

The biggest problem with Automation Follow Events is the movement of audio files up and down. I have to get only the original audio source, but if I raise the track up, Automation follows along with it, causing an error.

I can’t even turn it off and off every time. N13 didn’t have this problem. Which part should I look at to solve this problem?

There’s one thing I’ve been mistaken about!

I think it was possible because I set it up in N13. N10 is not working either.

What settings did I set up that would have gone the way I wanted on N13?

It looks like this feature setting didn’t follow while I was updating it.

What is “Alt+S”?

Remember that users can customize key commands so the command that is triggered on your computer is probably different than the one that’s triggered on mine.

Oh, I didn’t think of that. I’ve been doing this for a long time…

I used the Alt+S button to select all events after Cursor.

I changed it to Alt+S > Ctrl+A in the text.

Even if I do Ctrl+A and make the full selection, I don’t choose Automation if the Automation Tab is closed. So when I open it after moving it, it’s a mess.

I think it makes sense that automation points are not selected, even with Ctrl+A, if your lanes are hidden.

But what I think you could do to make you life easier is either:

Map a keycommand to show all used automation so you can press it before “Ctrl+A”, and then you’ll select all your automation points along with your audio;

or

Map a keycommand to “automation follows events” so you can easily toggle it before you do all your moving around.

Automation Follow Event causes too many errors.

Automation follows too much in situations where only audio sources have to be imported, and there are a lot of problems when overlapping.

I hope all automation is selected when I do Ctrl+A, even if the automation tab is closed.

i can confirm this issue - but differently - cut time or delete time does not grab the automation - it stays where it was.. we use a ALL Folder, where everythin is inside, in N13, you only needed to make a range in the “All Folder” and then delete time - automation was also moving - i made a PLE as a workaround: show all tracks (visibility) - show all used automation - select all tracks (tracks only and not events) (another PLE) - select all events in the range - delete time - undo visibility and deselect all tracks … this works for now - but it is not nice…

If you set the l/r locators and then select all in loop w range tool, then delete time, it works as expected.

ah cool! this works! Thanks a lot!

What does it mean to delete time?

It’s a function of the range tool. It’s kind of like ripple editing. Deletes the selected range and brings everything from the right back to where you deleted from. Try it out and it will make sense.
