I want to report a workflow regression in Nuendo 15 compared to Nuendo 14 regarding multi-file import behavior.
In Nuendo 14, importing multiple audio/video files gave a quick choice: import to one track or separate tracks. This was independent of other settings like sample rate conversion and copying files to the project folder.
In Nuendo 15, all these options are merged into one dialog. For audio, you can at least configure the preferences to prompt a dialog each time.
For video files, this setting does not apply. There is no equivalent preference, and no dialog is ever shown. Multiple video files are always imported to separate tracks automatically, with no way to choose.
Since Nuendo supports a maximum of 2 video tracks, importing 3 or more videos means the first 2 go onto separate tracks and the remaining files are silently dropped – no warning, no notification. The import simply stops without telling you.
Request: Restore the Nuendo 14 behavior, or at least show a dialog when importing multiple video files that lets the user choose between one track and separate tracks.
