Congratulations to the Steinberg team for keeping the product alive and viable for last 25 years and hope it gets more younger as I get old.

I have a question - Can I buy N13 to N14 upgrade and activate post N15 release? Will I get N15 version then? I have C14 pro for my music and engineering and I am happy with N13 at the moment and can wait. Thanks in advance

I’m a Nuendo user, I always update when a new version comes out, but I didn’t update to Nuendo 14 because I didn’t like the new pencil.

??? Why would you do that? Your day to day upgrade price from 10 to 12 is $130.

You instead buy with a voucher (which is promoted as 50%-discount-off-full-retail-price-only), you’ll get a 50% discount off the full SL12 price of $350.

SpectraLayers Pro 12 regular update price is currently 90€ so if I update to Nuendo 14 I get a voucher for SL Pro 12 update for 45€? Or this voucher is only valid for full version of SL Pro 12? :thinking:

sorry, not following. If I upgrade 10 to 12 it’s $129… if I use the voucher it’s $149

I think you mean, that you crossgraded but nonethless, it is an upgrade!

Most Nuendo users start out on Cubase in any case, so if you want to be a trailblazer start there but there is a refining that takes place, once you migrate to Nuendo.

it is a voucher that UPGRADES SpectraLayers Go to SpectraLayers Pro. So, per definition it is an UPGRADE (smaller to higher product in the line-up) and not an UPDATE (same product level, new version e.g. SL Pro 11 to 12).

Happy Nuendo user since 2021, before that it was Cubase Pro since 2015, before that it was Pro Tools since the dark ages. :smiling_face_with_sunglasses: I am primarily a composer, but since I work in film and theatre, and also with sound design for theatre, I took the leap from Cubase to Nuendo in 2021. Today, I could not live without Loudness Track, Video Cut Detection or Cue Sheet Export, to name just a few life-saving features. Adaptive Background Attenuation is another game changer! For Cubendo in general, I also love everything about Project Logical Editor and the way you can basically invent your own features, sculpt and mold the software into being exactly what you want it to be, to fit your own workflow. Surely no other DAW family lets you do this, as far as I know… Excited to see what’s next!
