I am importing ADM file. The settings for audio are fine for ATMOS in Nuendo. All tracks seem to import fine, and the files are placed into the project folder fine as well. The tracks in Nuendo all have the correct names. However, there is no audio files in the actual tracks.
This may have been resolved earlier, however I’ve found no instructions on how to troubleshoot.
I am very familiar with ATMOS creation, mixing, and exporting. However this is the first effort on importing from a client and it is NOT working.
So to further explain, the version is Nuendo 14.0.32 on Windows 11. ADMs created via my Cubase export work and import fine. I have 3 files created via Logic on Apple and all have the same issue. Please also note that I can import these ADM (.wav) files into my DaVinci Resolve application and all tracks load and play fine in Resolve.
Have no idea what is really going on with the issue but……you could try converting the ADM files (which came from Logic) to another ADM with Dolby Atmos Conversion Tool (free) framerate/timecode position adjustments etc and see if any change. Worth a try.
@ckon Very interesting way to troubleshoot an ADM file. So I did take the Logic Pro ADM file and loaded it into the Dolby Atmos conversion Tool. I then simply saved it as a new ADM file with a new name. The files were two different sizes, which was a sign something was “off”. Once I ran the file through the conversion tool, the new file created by the conversion tool loaded fine into Nuendo. I’m not sure if that means all Logic ADM files need to be “fixed” this way, or if it was just these files from this one instance of Logic. However, the answer for me was to run the ADM file through the conversion tool noted above. Thanks
I load ADMs derived from Logic every now and then, and I have yet to encounter a comparable issue. But then, most of my 3D mixes use Objects only as a fixed top layer without any automation, that might be the difference.
Glad it worked out, when you have time it might be useful to compare the outputted files information with the original Logic File (view tree) MediaInfo
As this worked it might help others if they get a similar file, maybe mark it as solution. Cheers.
