I’ve setup a Midi remote in the Midi remote API. I save the project, but when I quit Nuendo and start it again, the Midi remote is gone!
I had this problem on N13, but on N14 it is still an issue. I did a “clean” install, so I didn’t use the N13 settings. I have the @bjoluc script for the Icon V1-M/X setup. But even when I add an other Midi remote (for example the Akai APC Mini), it is no longer there when I restart Nuendo.
Why is Nuendo “forgetting” the Midi Remote settings? What can I do to fix this? (Do I need to delete certain files?)
When I refresh the Midi remote manager, the midi remote simply disappears! I have to manually add it again. Obviously, somewhere in my system there is something not updating / remembering the setup for the Midi remote.
Unfortunately, that doesn’t work. The Midi remote window is simply showing no remote, and I have to manually add it again and assign the corresponding midi ports. (I appreciate your help though )
Yup this a bug in what Steinberg calls the #14 sequencer branch i.e. it is a Cubase 13/14 generated error rather than something resulting from the extra ‘none sequencer’ features included with Nuendo 14. There are several topics bringing this up as an issue on the Cubase forum. The bug has been around for a while for some users from ver 13.0.50 to ver 14.0.20. I have been posting on this one - and have the same problem setting up the Icon V1-M/X with bjoluc’s script…
Thank you for pointing me to this topic. At least it’s good to know that I am not the only one with this problem, and that I’m not crazy . Hopefully Steinberg will fix this bug soon!
