Nuendo on Windows 10 Pro with Slate Digital MTi2/Raven?

Good afternoon,

I was wondering if there’s any information about whether any one has been able to get Slate Digital’s MTi2 with Raven/V-Control Pro to run properly with Nuendo on Windows 10 Pro.

I currently run Nuendo 10.3 on Windows 10 Pro (14 Core Intel Processor/ 128 Gb Ram) and the Raven software has never run properly. It’s had issues from Raven’s Internal Mixer not re-aligning properly to Nuendo’s Mixer when switching Nuendo from the Arrange window to the Mix Window, to Raven randomly not loading and also causing Nuendo to crash, and also the Raven software not properly re-installing after multiple instances where I was suggested by Slate Digital’s tech support to re-install for various fixes and updates, etc. I’ve had multiple discussions with Slated Digital’s tech support that have not yet fixed any of the issues.

If any of you have been able to make this setup work:

  1. What are the steps I have to follow to make this work on my system?
  2. What version of Nuendo do I need to make it work?
  3. What version of the Raven software do I need to make it work?
  4. Is there a specific process of installing the Raven software other than just double clicking the link provided by Slat Digital?

This might be an old discussion resurrected, but I haven’t yet found anyone to answer these 4 questions to help me get this running.

Thank you,

A year onwards, have things gotten better?

Thanks!

Good evening axemanchris. Forgive me for the very delayed response.

Now, two years after I asked the questions I can say that I was able to make the Raven MTi2 operate without crashing Nuendo and realigning to Nuendo’s arrange window and mixer when switching between workspaces. Unfortunately It was so long ago that I forgot what steps I took to make it happen, besides I haven’t had much time to spend working on Nuendo the past couple years due to all of my work keeping me on set recording sound for television and film.

The Nuendo system has taken a back seat for a long time and I’m now sitting at the system attempting to relearn all it’s functions and thinking of updating to get back to working with Nuendo. Not much to tell. Sorry if you needed help last year when you responded.

It is pretty funny! Really sorry for the delay…location sound pays the bills and it takes all my time away from my production system. If you care to know about how the system is running now :

Currently I just spent the past month switching the system from Windows OS to Mac OS after upgrading from a Lynx Studio Aurora 16 that was outputting signal to a 5.1 surround array to an Antelope Galaxy 32 which will be outputting signal to a 7.1.4 array.

After spending a few days unsuccessfully trying to get the Galaxy 32 to properly lock to Windows 10 Pro via USB C and Thunderbolt I decided to use the last bit of production room funding to invest in a 2019 Mac Pro which has more processing power and ram than the Windows machine, plus will allow me to run the Dolby Atmos Renderer within the same Mac Pro running Nuendo. Which should also allow the Raven MTi 2 to run perfectly with Nuendo since the platform was originally designed to run on Mac OS; I have a good friend who’s been running the Raven software on Mac OS for a few years with zero problems .

I’m just about to start the process of routing all I/O and calibrating the system. Until then I’m researching how to properly link the Galaxy 32 with a Waves SoundGrid processing server plus a Symbolic Sound’s Pacamara and an Expert Sleepers ES-9 sound card installed in a Behringer System 55 to all be available in Nuendo as an open ended analog/digital production system.

If I have time this year I’ll give an update… :slightly_smiling_face:
