In the attached project, I have tried to remove the parentheses from the Numbered Bar Region via the Properties panel with no success.
(Everything works as expected if I make these properties default in Engraving Options.)
A bug, or am I missing something?

When I open your project in Dorico 5, the numbers in the numbered bar region appear without parentheses, so this seems to be a bug in Dorico 6.

The same here. But, if you don’t want any parentheses, you could youse this in Engraving Options
This does look like a bug - we’ll take a look.
