Object Selection Tool Jumping During Editing

This problem doesn’t start until a project gets multiple tracks and plugins going. There is many variables that I’ve tried to eliminate and isolate the issue. It makes editing quite frustrating at times. The list of solutions I’ve tried is as follows

  • video follows edit mode
  • not duplicating tracks
  • outdated plugins removed
  • hyperthreading off (CPU)
  • new mouse
  • Nvdia graphics card optimize

Let me also note this happened on a different PC. Although i did just transfer the hardrive over. I actually upated from 8.5 to twelve to try and solve this issue. Still cant figure it out. Some sessions take longer for it to start doing it. Take a look at the attached video.

If anyone has encountered this, I would appreciate suggestions.

From your post, I understand, you are on Windows and Cubase 12, right? What graphic card do you use? Is the graphic card driver up-to-date? What screen resultion do you use? Do you have multiple screens? Can you replicate it at all screens? Have you tried with different mouse?

Yes, windows and cubase 12.
Graphics are up to date .
I do not use multiple screens.
I’ve tried atleast 3 different mouse’s.

I dont think resolution would cause this issue would it?
