OBS and 32bit audio

Hello all, I just bought the UR-22C and I am trying to figure out how to enable the advertised 32bit audio. It seems that windows will only access 24bit and OBS feeds directly from that setting. Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry to say there is no 32-bit audio on the UR-C series.
They only added a 32-bit USB port in front of the existing 24-bit audio architecture they had in the previous UR series.
Using their 32-bit format only adds 8 more bits of noise to if you were using the 24-bit format.
More here:

While probably worth looking into more on a technical level I am not sure if I am tracking with you. Is the implication that the device sold is not capable of connection with 32bit (regardless of noise factor)? Or is your point that the use of the applied 32bit is useless?

It is 200% useless.
Zero advantage, not even theoretical, over recording in 24-bit.

The most $$$ interfaces on this planet can barely convert 20-21 bits, which is already beyond what the best microphone can provide, and beyond human perceptions.

A few vendors offer 32-bit float conversion (not integer) with dual converters, and that’s just a clever (and sometimes useful) way to record with 2 distinct preamp gains, and pick the best one on the fly. A bit like HDR photography. But that’s an other topic entirely, not related to recording in 32-bit integer.

Ok so if that is your point I will continue to pursue understanding how to make the device work as advertised.

Theory and usability aside the device is listed as supporting this so I need to either resolve or return the device as a scam.
