Observation: Mixer stops showing visual feedback

While flipping between Write and Play, I’ve noticed couple of times that the the instrument channels in the mixer stop giving visually feedback. Audio is working and meters on Fx channels and the Output channel work. If I save and restart the project, the mixer will work again.

As far as I am aware I didn’t do anything significant to trigger this. Is this a known issue?

Video can be provided.

Further observation: when mixer gets in this state, it is not possible to add new insert effects.

I experienced another instance of this yesterday. Link to video here, if of interest @Ulf

Restart resolves it, though

High Christer,

thanks. And yes, it makes sense that Dorico behaves that way once it gets into that kind of funny state. So this is all the same komplex and can be treated in one go. But thanks for sharing.

Cheers,
Ulf

With this new project I have yet to experience the UI issue with the sends. So it might not be directly related, but it’s definitely in the same general area, so to say.

That’s what I think. There is a discrepancy between the mixer model and that what Dorico thinks is the correct state.

Could you also please share that project file with me? Many thanks

Sure, a link is on the way to your inbox.

Hi again,

Just FYI, I just observed another parameter that wasn’t correctly represented in the UI: panning.

At some point, while tinkering in other parts of my score, I noticed that the stereo field of my v1 was learning very much to the left. I made some changes in the instrument first, but id didn’t resolve it. Then I decided to try and turn on the panning in the mixer and as I moved it from center to left and then back to center, the right channel came back in.

Just mentioning it as a focus area as the team looks into this.
