Where in Engraving Options can I set the octave line to always appear above all other items, like harmonic signs, harmonic lines, and similar markings?
Or basically the other way to put it, I want the other sign to go under the 8va line…

Hi @nathan.shelley, this has already been discussed and is on the radar of the Team (tucking index for octave line in combination with other items, which for the moment is only working with interaction of 8va with slurs and ties, I believe- see the manual here below*).
One fast workaround is following:
- flip the octave line (with F or from the properties → Placement:Below)
- move it above again, manually (and adjust the hook length to -1)
