I was going to write some of this in this thread, but over the past two weeks there have been so many issues so maybe I should create another topic.
So the main issue is that the waveforms of some events visually disappear. If I remove the offline processing, they come back, but only until the next restart.
I think it’s related to time warp and offline processing. When you apply offline processing to clips, and then (or before that) warp them, after restarting Cubase the event visuals sometimes break.
There’s a similar issue when using pitch shift (default one from the cubase 14 pro). If you press ctrl+z to undo, it often creates endless instances of pitch shift that just keep loading (at least this happened before I enabled “process shared clips as create new version”). The pitch becomes weird and the visuals break (waveform get shifted/moved). Sometimes it even replaces the file in the pool, like, you undo a bad pitch shift, it rolls back to a previous pitch but bounces the original audio track, so you can’t remove the changes anymore.
Also, why does Cubase delete all automation on a track when you press ctrl+z after accidentally removing a plugin (for example, dragging it between slots in the mixer)?
And one more thing, why do you have to bounce a track before using audio alignment? If you apply warping or offline processing to an event and then want to align it with another track, you have to bounce it first. But if I need to change something later, I can’t do that anymore.
here are few crashdumps for the last few weeks:
Cubase 14.0.41 64bit2026.3.18 20.31.10.896.zip (3,0 МБ)
It’s so annoying, I spend around 70% of my time just fixing problems that keep appearing.
