Older projects and sample rate

I am using 9.5 for the first time.
Loaded a project created in Cubase 5.
It was at 44k. All the audio files exist at 44k.
When I load it in 9.5 its playing back at 48k (everything sounds chipmonkey),
The sample rate at the top of the main window is in orange indicating there is a sample rate discrepancy.
Anyone know why this is happening?

Because your project and your interface samplerate don’ t match.

Thank you sir. My Apogee Rosetta was at 48k.
