Omnisphere HW integration not working in Cubase 13 Pro

Hi guys

I can’t get Omnisphere HW integration to work with my Prophet REV2 synth in Cubase 13 Pro.
I have created an Omnisphere instrument track in Cubase 13 Pro with input routing from the Prophet REV2 module and with MIDI channel 1 selected.
But when I click edit instrument button on the track and choose my Sequential REV2 in the HW drop down menu in Omnisphere plugin in Cubase, nothing responds in Omnisphere when I turn the knobs on my REV2 module.
I can see that the Event Received Indicator in Omnisphere is lighting up when I turn the knobs. So it’s receiving midi signals.
Do any of you have a hint about what’s wrong here?
The HW integration works fine in the stand alone version for Omnisphere, so the problem must be with my Cubase setup and the Omnisphere plugin.
I have done the setup of my Prophet REV2 synth according to the Omnisphere HW integration recommendations.

Hi all

I just discovered that the Omnisphere HW integration do work perfectly with Cubase Pro 12 on the same iMac where it doesn’t work with Cubase Pro 13.

I wrote following to Steinberg support for their help.
Do anybody have a hint about what’s wrong here?

"Hardware integration in Omnisphere synth plugin do not work in Cubase Pro 13, when I’m using my Prophet REV2 hardware synth for controlling Omnisphere in Cubase.
I can see that the midi signal lamp in Omnisphere is receiving midi signals from my Prophet REV2 synth, when I use this in Cubase Pro 13.

It’s working fine in the Omnisphere standalone application and it’s also working fine in Cubase Pro 12 as well. So I’m suspicious that the Cubase Pro 13 update deactivated this hardware integration with Omnisphere, as it worked fine with Cubase Pro 12.
I even tried to reinstall Omnisphere after the Cubase Pro 13 upgrade, without any succes for this to work.

I have installed both Cubase Pro 12.0.70 and Cubase Pro 13.0.30 on the same iMac computer with OS Ventura 13.5.1, and use the same Cubase project in both Cubase versions for this hardware integration to work.
I also checked that I have the same system and midi setup on both Cubase versions.

Do you have a hint about what’s wrong here?"

Hi all

I wrote yesterday to Steinberg Support about this issue with Omnisphere HW integration in Cubase Pro 13 and they replied today that I should try to install the Cubase Pro 13.0.40 update that was released today, to solve this issue.

I installed the update for Cubase Pro 13.0.40, and now the Omnisphere HW integration works perfectly with Cubase Pro 13.

When I read the release notes for the Cubase 13.0.40 update, I see that following fix is made: “NRPN MIDI messages are now processed as expected on macOS systems.”.
This must be the cause for the HW integration working again in Cubase Pro 13, as these NRPN MIDI messages are communicated from my Prophet REV2 synth to the Omnisphere synth plugin in Cubase Pro 13.

I struggled with this since I updated to Cubase Pro 13, so this is really a relief for me to get this fixed now
