On Record, Video Not Sync'd

I have a blank video attached to a flow. I’m doing this for audio-only playback as a workaround for Dorico not supporting normal audio file / WAV playback.

When I start playback, the video (and more importantly, the audio in the video) is sync’d with Dorico as it should be.

When I record, it is no longer sync’d and is offset by 10 bars.

There is no offset in video, timecode or flow start position. And like it said, it sync’s fine with playback - just not in record mode.

What could be going on with this?

This is very common for me since I am an arranger who develops orchestral arrangements for bands and acts for pops concerts and such. It probably goes without saying that not having audio playback is a huge handicap.

The real problem here, of course, is that Dorico doesn’t support audio tracks, and that’s something that we plan to address in a future version, just as soon as we can work together with the audio engine team to add this functionality.

Unfortunately, the issue with the video soundtrack being out of sync during MIDI recording is a known problem, and there’s no workaround at the present time, I’m sorry to say.
