On which page in the manual(s) is 'Safe Start Mode'?

Aloha guys,

In another thread I was trying to help a user who was having some probs
by suggesting using the ‘Safe Start Mode’ function.

Now I have known about SSM and how to access it since C7.0 but I wanted to
point out the specific page in the manual so the user could read for themselves.

(you know; the teach a man to fish thang).

However:
I cannot find ‘SSM’ in any of my built-in manuals. (and I really scoured them. or so I thought).

I checked:
1-Operations Manual
2-Quick Start Guide
3-Plug in Reference (figuring that there will be a troubleshooting section)
4-New features in Cubase 7.5
And nada.

How am I missing this?

Any help on this would be great (so that going forward I might be able to help others).

I think this was thrown in at the last minute , as a last remediation solution kinda thing (easier way to the standard answer of thrashing the prefs). But you never know with Steinberg :confused:

Anyway, I don’t think this is documented anywhere in the manual.

Aloha and thanks Steve.

Your first link was the one I posted to try and help the user but
one would think that a function so ‘fundamental’ and basic
to troubleshooting, would be sticking out of the manual like a sore thumb.

Seems a pity to have a topic about Safe Start, without cutting to the chase and actually saying, here, that, it is done by holding down Shift+Alt+Ctrl (Shift+Alt+Cmd on Mac) while the Startup splashscreen is appearing :wink:.
