Someone mentioned on the Dorico FB page something that makes me ask this question to Daniel,
can one use the same USB e-licenser for going back and forth between mac and pc installations?
In order to be able to use Dorico on multiple computers (can be MAC and Windows) you’ll need a USB-eLicenser (dongle) on which you can download the license to. In this way, the license becomes portable.
USB-eLicensers are available from any Steinberg dealer and, of course, at Steinberg’s online shop: USB-eLicenser | Steinberg
- Install the latest eLicenser Control Center: http://www.elicenser.net/en/latest_downloads.html
- Open the eLicenser Control Center (Windows: Start > Programs > eLicenser, Mac: Applications)
- Connect the USB-eLicenser. It will appear in the eLicenser Control Center window.
- Click on the Dorico license to grab it and drag it to the entry of the other USB-eLicenser license while holding down the mouse button.
- As soon as you release the mouse button the license will be transferred.
Please note: A transfer back in the opposite direction - from USB-eLicenser to Soft-eLicenser - is not possible. Once the license is stored on an USB-eLicenser, the USB-eLicenser must be connected whenever you use Dorico.

I just wanted to make it clear for people who might be wanting to use both mac and pc platforms, that one can use the same license on a e-licenser for both mac and pc platforms. Might be a stupid question, but that’s me!
No, it is not a stupid question at all. But yes, the same license works on both platforms.
Good, as it should!
I can confirm: mac at home, windows at work. Using the dongle works like a charm.
