One Track not exported as MIDI

Hi,

I’ve got the following tracks:

The Fretless Bass staff is not exported, when I do Midi Export. All the other ones are exported.

Can somebody tell me why?

Kind regards

Peter

Probably not without the project or a cut-down version of it.

Yes, you’re right:

Bed Of Roses_Cubase_aktuell.dorico (2.8 MB)

When I open your project and go to the Play tab, you have every instrument routed to Halion, channel 1 (except Piano 1 which goes to Addictive Keys which I don’t have).

If you reapply the Halion playback template, all is well and all instruments are exported as MIDI.

Thanks David for the quick answer

As I don’t know how the reapply a template:

Would you please be so kind as to tell me detail what I have to do exactly?

Yours

Peter

I suggest you watch the video tutorials…
Introduction | Dorico Playback Templates

Menu Play → Playback Template …

Choose Auto then Apply&Close. It may take a few seconds to load, just wait for the play button, top right, to turn green. If you want to add other VSTs to complement the stock sounds, definitely check the link from @Janus

Again thanks, but that didn’t change anything…

When I import the file to Cubase, the fretless bass doesn’t appear.

This is what I get after reapplying the playback template (Play>Playback Template…)

The MIDI export from Dorico
Bed Of Roses_Cubase_aktuell (1) - Full score - Partie 1.mid (26.8 KB)

The Cubase Import
Bed Of Roses_Cubase_aktuell.cpr (843.6 KB)

Everything seems to be there.

Janus, you’re right.

Don’t know why it doesn’t work on my system.

Thanks Peter

Because until you re-apply the playback template, the connections are incomplete even though they may have existed in the past.

Even though the Playback Template screen may show the template as selected, until one clicks APPLY the template may not actually be active.
