Only flagged notes for vocals unless slurred

Is there a setting to get vocal using only flagged notes unless it is slurred notes?
I think this is some older tradition for vocal scores.
After import of MusicXML I get

witch is perfect as I like to remove all “artifacts” from other notation systems, but then I have to cut a lot of beams. Perhaps there is some smart setting for this?
The above “should” be (in this particular score)

In my core area (17C/18C string music) it is copyist/publisher errors that dominate (evidenced by differences between editions). It is very hard to ascertain “composer’s intent” when no original manuscript exists, and no authoritative evidence that the composer was even aware of its publication, let alone ever proof-read it.
