To answer a question in the german Dorico forum here on discourse, I wanted to open my (succesfully running) Dorico 4 Pro as Dorico 4 Elements using the “hold-alt-while-startup” trick. This failed, with the SAM popping up telling me I have no license for the Dorico 4 AudioEngine. Again, opening Dorico 4 normally as Pro works still with no problems.
Forcing Dorico to run as a lower variant is a known limitation of the new licensing system at the moment and will be addressed in a future update.
