I was a very early Wavelab user, dropped it when I went from Win NT to a Mac. Version 3, maybe? I’d like to open some of those old files. How is Wavelab 9’s support of legacy files? I haven’t found that information online.
You should be able to open old montage files, but if the file system has changed, you will likely be requested to rebind the file links manually.
I have files going back to Version 1.6 and never had a problem opening the files. I believe that if you open a montage file in WL 9 + you cannot open it from previous versions of WL once you close it. FWIW
