Opening mixer is "slow", practical solution(s)?

Ok, this is more of an annoyance than a “real” problem, but even so, it’s a workflow-releated annoyance, so I guess that makes it real enough: when pressing F3, the mixer doesn’t open instantly (as it used to), it takes about a half to a full second. Does anybody know the source of the problem, and what can be done to alleviate it?

  1. CPU? If so, I’ll consider updating.
  2. GPU? If so, I’ll consider updating. [Presently it’s a passive Geforce 550]
  3. Cubase? If so, could you please consider updating it?
  4. Something else?

Also here, even with 7.0.4! It takes a while until the mixer opens, sometimes second or also two.
Well I have a general performance issue with C7, especially on OSX 8.3.
