It is possible, and easy, to slur between RH and LH, but how do I slur to the Pedal?
The end should be on the Bb in the Pedal.
It is possible, and easy, to slur between RH and LH, but how do I slur to the Pedal?
On my end it works by selecting the first note (C) of the LH and the B in the pedal staff (holding Ctrl/Cmd), and pressing S. Doesnât it work for you?
Try adding âcontentâ ot the LH in bar 3 and you will see that it will fail. I took a new default project
Indeed, interesting⌠It still works in Engrave Mode though, but in Write Mode I donât know if thereâs a way to do it. Perhaps someone familiar with organ writing will be able to answer?
Make sure all notes are in the first upstem voices. But especially select the passage on all three staves, right-click, select the âCross-staffâ menu and âReset to original staffâ. Just in case. If that doesnât fix it. share your new created excerpt here. There is no reason for this to happen so weâll need to look a little deeper.
This is my default project
SlurFromRHToPedal.dorico (594.4 KB)
I tried it in a blank project, all in Upstem Voice 1 and without any cross-staff â it behaves just as @Mats_Frendahl described.
I did the same, I did not experience that issue. Very odd. Iâll look at his file.
Clearly itâs a setting. If I use the Library manager to replace the settings with my settings, the slur behaves correctly. Iâll see what setting that could be. Also, there were a lot of notes that were needlessly locked in durations, but I donât think that was part of the issue.
If you flip the slur you get it to go to the pedals, but it doesnât look right.
OK, that didnât take long, but it is this Engraving Options setting in âSlursâ:
The âDetermine curvatureâŚâ check box has to be off. Now why that is is something someone from the team will hopefully pipe in aboutâŚ
Good find @claude_g_lapalme
